Summary

Malignant tissues generally displayed moderate to strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity. The positivity was often accentuated to the plasma membrane. Strongest staining was observed in adenocarcinomas, whereas squamous cell carcinomas in general stained weakly. Most malignant tissues displayed weak to moderate cytoplasmic staining, however single cases of colo-rectal cancer and embryonal carcinoma of testis were strongly positive. Negative cases were seen in all cancers. Poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinomas showed less immunoreactivity as compared to well differentiated.
